Safety at Pride
All of us at Rexburg Pride want to reassure you that safety is our top priority. Every year we work closely with Rexburg City Officials, the Rexburg Police Department, and our private security team to plan a safe and successful event. Rexburg is a family community and we work hard to create a family friendly atmosphere.
Safety Guidelines
If you see something, say something: In the event of an emergency that requires law enforcement or medical assistance, don’t hesitate to call 911. Any observations of behavior that are troubling, potentially harmful, or in violation of the Community Code of Conduct please report them to a volunteer, our safety lead, private security, or the police immediately.
De-escalation team: We have a designated safety lead and many day-of volunteers that are trained in de-escalation techniques. Look for them in Rexburg Pride tie-dye volunteer t-shirts and rainbow lanyards if you have questions or concerns.
Security: There will be police officers and armed private security officers present. They are there to help us keep the peace and protect the community. They are friendly and approachable, don’t hesitate to talk to them if you notice anything suspicious or need any assistance, especially in an emergency.
